What fun, creative things could I do during the COVID epidemic? Hey, how about making a leadership and anti-bullying video?
I needed to do something creative. I wasn’t able to run my after-school leadership programs or anti-bullying presentations. What could I do to feel like I was growing and moving forward?
I contacted my friend, Adam, at ATOMIC SPARK and got the ball rolling. He had footage from a promo shoot we did at a school in Brantford. We just needed to add to this footage.
We filmed most of the shoot at the Sanderson Centre in Brantford. We hooked up with Sarah Blackwood, singer from Walk Off the Earth and Rick Campanelli, from ET Canada. We also used the footage we had from Doug Gilmour (Toronto Maple Leafs) and Gord Deppe (The Spoons). Adam knew the Red Green Show producer, who joined the team as a consultant. The team was being formed.
We filmed the videos at the Sanderson Centre in Brantford and my camp in Burlington. I was fortunate to have footage from a presentation I did at a school in Brantford, before COVID. The videos turned out great, as did the website. I was also happy to have finished the e-books. I was ready to present my leadership anti-bullying presentations, with additional resources available for schools.
